Description
As an independent, self-taught artist who has been practicing for 9 years, I have come to terms with the fact that my path to sustainability through the art is slow. For 8 of those 9 years I worked a 9-5 to get by. Now, after one year of full time art, I find myself desperately seeking another 9-5 in order to have enough money to support myself and my family. I never thought the journey would be easy, but that doesnt make it any less nerve wracking. So…. I created Make. Slow. Electric as simply a reminder to me…. that although I do not yet have the resources or fame to be self sustained… if I continue to make the climb electric, I will someday reach my dream. These animals are all slow movers, but each have very special electric powers in our world. If you want a special treat…. research the ecosystem a sloth carries in its fur. A sloth sustains 80+ species of life in its fur. Someday….. I will be that ecosystem. My art will contribute to the sustenance and thriving capabilities of the village. Dreams are irrelevant without work….. and so I keep going! Onward!
